646f9e108c Martians land on Earth, prepared for conquest. Atom-Man is Earth's only defense. Queen Marzanna (played by Melody Raber) of Mars and her assistant (played by Bobby Donaho) has her spacecraft create destruction upon the Earth. The ship lands and the two meet up with their Earth accomplice and henchman (played by Larry Byrd). She sends him off to blow up the railway yard, and broadcasts the event over the airwaves. On Hearing this, Atom-Man springs into action, following the henchman back to the Martian's base. Having no further need of the henchman, Queen Marzanna has him and his car destroyed by a deadly ray. Fearing Atom-Man, the Martians retreat to their craft and take off. Atom-Man is able to shoot done the craft with his ray. The craft crashes and explodes, killing the occupants. ATOM MAN VS. MARTIAN INVADERS is perhaps Donald F. Glut's most well-mounted homemade short yet. The story tells of an epic fight between the titular hero and a Martian invasion force spearheaded by the beautiful Melody Raber. Unlike Glut's earlier pictures, invariably shot in his Chicago basement, this one was filmed in the Californian desert and features plentiful action and cheesy effects. It's fittingly engaging for the era it was made.
